A Beginners and Improvers Course for adults starts Tuesday 4th July 2017 and runs every Tuesday until the end of August
These are ideal sessions for adults to learn to paddle in a safe environment with our coaches and experienced paddlers. All the details are the same as the Wednesday children’s course below.
A Beginners and Improvers Course for children starts Wednesday 5th July and runs every Wednesday until the end of August –
These are ideal sessions for children (8+yrs) to learn to paddle in a safe environment with our coaches and experienced paddlers. The children will work towards achieving their Paddlepower Passport Certificate. If parents wish to paddle with their children then they can tag along at the additional family member rate.
Cost: Temporary club membership of £62 per person (additional family members are £47 each)
Time: 6.30pm to 8pm (arrive early to gather kit etc. and be ready to paddle by 6.30pm)
Location: Taunton Canoe Club, Priory Bridge Road (in front of tall Viridor building)
- to wear wetsuit or old clothes (preferably not cotton),
- to wear wetsuit boots or old trainers (not crocs or flipflops)
- bring a towel and change of clothes
All equipment is provided. Places can be booked by sending a cheque payable to Taunton Canoe Club with consent and registration forms to Leonie Merrifield, 47 Priorswood Road, Taunton, TA2 7PS
As members, you will have other opportunities to paddle. E.g. Coaching and Rolling sessions at the pool for subsidised rate of £6; Winters Farm weekend with beginner slalom and polo on the lake; other suitable dates on the calendar for beginner paddling.
