Congratulations to Liz again. She was quite modest about coming first in C1, but her achievements meant TCC came 37^th at The Nationals.

A new experience for some of our paddlers. A chance to combine their white water and racing skills at Ironbridge in June 2021.

We have several members regularly training and taking part in marathon racing.

Congratulations to all seven paddlers that took part in the race this year. The weather conditions were fair, neither hot or cold. There wasn’t a great deal of flow on the Thames but still the teams managed to complete in very competitive times. Paul and Michael Fielden completed their race, putting the record traight after their last attempt was called off after three days due to adverse weather. Their were two more vet/junior teams from Taunton. Clive and Harvey Merrifield finished second in their class with a time of 18hours and 35 minutes. And then in third place was Robin Harris and Ben Shattock. Incredibly, they came third in vet/junior when neither paddler had any DW experience and they were using a heavy club boat. In fact, Robin only started paddling racing boats this winter. Finally, Sam McQueen Jones finished 13th in the senior K1 class. So far he has doubled his target of £500 for CLIC Sargent.
