The First Sighting – The Beginning
Three friends from Taunton Canoe Club decided to join an advertised paddle in the Farne Islands one weekend. On the Sunday, whilst sat quietly on an island enjoying the wildlife and lunch, and discussing the previous days paddle, a strange and rare sighting was made – what was it?
Luckily, a camera was to hand to record the event. It was – a monkey! Could this be the first Sea Monkey ever?
We were so blown away by this rarity that we went back to Somerset and told our fellow paddlers. We made the fatal mistake of adopting this name for our paddling group (which is made up of members of Taunton Canoe Club) – we have been haunted and followed by this mysterious animal ever since!!!
Even Sea Kayak Instructors are not safe. Earlier this year, we went for a weekend to Cornwall. There he was again!
Mind you, which one is Richard Uren???!!! Has our monkey started to morph into other images??
And you are not even safe in your own bed at night….
If that is not bad enough, he turns up in the most inappropriate places.

Or on holiday!!!!
IS NOWHERE SAFE ANYMORE?????
